Staff Development Fellow: Production Animal Clinical Studies (Theriogenology)

The University of Namibia is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the vacant Staff Development Fellow position, Department of Production Animal Clinical Studies , School of Veterinary Medicine Science, Faculty of Health Sciences and Veterinary Medicine.

Specification

• Undertake an MSc in veterinary medicine (Theriogenology), Develop veterinary skills specifically in theriogenology through on the job training at the School of Veterinary Medicine , Assist with the day to day treatment and care of patients at Neudamm Animal Clinic , Assist with laboratory work (theriogenology) in both clinical service delivery and student training, Assist with development of teaching material for theriogenology, Assist with practical training of BVM undergraduates. Must be willing to work irregular hours and over weekends.

Requirements

• Veterinarian with a BVM (or equivalent) in veterinary medicine and demonstrable interest and experience in production animal Theriogenology. Qualifications should enable the candidate to be unconditionally registered or registrable with the Namibian Veterinary Council.
