ABOUT THE POSITION:


The prospective candidate will be responsible for the procurement of consumables and MRO articles and coordinate the sale of assets and by-products.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • A Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management with two years relevant procurement experience

OR

  • Grade 12 with 4-5 years procurement experience
  • Level 4 CIPS Qualification/CIPS Membership as well as SAP experience will be an added advantage

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Run the procurement cycle, ensuring that all requirements are covered on time at the right costs
  • Conduct negotiations of prices and commercial terms and conditions
  • In conjunction with key stakeholders, manage, monitor, report and seek continuous improvement of suppliers performance
  • Ensure the integrity of our ERP system is maintained and parameters are kept updated
  • Perform administrative duties, execute procurement market research
  • Manage and maintain lifecycle of contracts
  • Arrange and market sale of redundant assets and by-products

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • High level working knowledge of ERP systems would be advantageous
  • Great interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
