ABOUT THE POSITION:
The prospective candidate will be responsible for the procurement of consumables and MRO articles and coordinate the sale of assets and by-products.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- A Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management with two years relevant procurement experience
OR
- Grade 12 with 4-5 years procurement experience
- Level 4 CIPS Qualification/CIPS Membership as well as SAP experience will be an added advantage
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY
- Run the procurement cycle, ensuring that all requirements are covered on time at the right costs
- Conduct negotiations of prices and commercial terms and conditions
- In conjunction with key stakeholders, manage, monitor, report and seek continuous improvement of suppliers performance
- Ensure the integrity of our ERP system is maintained and parameters are kept updated
- Perform administrative duties, execute procurement market research
- Manage and maintain lifecycle of contracts
- Arrange and market sale of redundant assets and by-products
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- High level working knowledge of ERP systems would be advantageous
- Great interpersonal and influencing skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
