Job Description
To be responsible for the design, development, improvements and all upgrades of Databases, Business Intelligence and Management Information system as well as the general reporting and data extraction needs throughout the City. The incumbent will analyse, design, develop and modify systems and systems processes to be aligned with the business processes, MIS & BI systems and related business functions throughout the Organisation. Responsibilities also include assessing needs and formulating solutions through the use of various applications, initiating and leading related projects and providing day to day support to Management, business and to the Business Support team.

Skills, Experience & Education:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
Three (3) year National Diploma in Information Systems/B.Sc. Information Technology or equivalent qualification.
REQUIRED SPECIALISATION:
Business Computing and Information Systems.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
A minimum period of three (3) years job related experience.
PRE-APPOINTMENT TRAINING AS AN ADDED ADVANTAGE:
Advanced MS Excel, MS SQL Server Administration, MS SQL Server Business Intelligence, MS SQL Analysis Server, Basic Unix Administration.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:
Code B/BE drivers license
KNOWLEDGE:
Database administration, business intelligence and management information systems knowledge.
SKILLS:
Computer skills, problems solving, analytical, effective communication and presentation, user requirement specification compilation, SQL, relational database management systems and basic development skills.
