Job Description
To provide management and engineering support on metering and pre-payment metering system for customers, electrical contractors and other stakeholders at the Electricity Department.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Responsible for the operations, maintenance, bulk metering and meter testing functions.
- Implement and maintain Smart Metering solutions as per the metering policy.
- Managing of electrical metering projects, Revenue Enhancement/Protection and Demand Side Management (DSM).
- Provide leadership in engineering projects and quality management.
- Performs Planning and Administrative Duties.
Skills, Experience & Education:
REQUIREMENTS:
BEng/ BSc Degree (Electrical Engineering) OR B. Tech Degree (Electrical Engineering)
Experience:
A minimum period of four (4) years relevant experience in the required field of specialization of which two (2) years must have been in a supervisory role in case of Professional Engineer OR Six (6) years relevant experience in the required field of specialization of which three (3) years must have been in a supervisory role in case of Incorporated Engineer.
Legal requirement:
Registered as Professional or Incorporated Engineer with Engineering Council of Namibia (ECN) and a valid code B drivers license.
