Job Description
Value all classes of real estate properties for various purposes within the jurisdiction of Windhoek, including the newly extended boundaries and supervise the work/job activities of the staff members in the Section.
Key Performance Areas
- Supervise the work/job activities of Valuers, Trainee Valuers in the Section and customer care center.
- Plan and control the work activities of the Section.
- Value and supervise the valuation of properties for rating purposes and ensure that the valuation system is updated for the purpose of billing of rates and taxes.
- Supervise, value and monitor the valuation of land and improvements for renting, selling, acquisition, pre-emptive rights purposes.
- Supervise, value and monitor the valuation of land and improvements for consolidation, subdivision, betterment fees, rezoning process.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise the 5 year main general valuation rolls and its administration thereof.
- Perform any other valuation related activities as directed by the manager.
Skills, Experience & Education:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:
Bachelors Degree in Real Estate Valuations or Bachelors Degree in Property Valuation with specialization in Property Valuations/Real Estate.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years full time experience performing Real Estate Valuation.
PRE-APPOINTMENT TRAINING AS AN ADDED ADVANTAGE:
Individual development plan supervisory training.
LEGAL REQUIREMENT:
Code B/BE Driver's License.
KNOWLEDGE:
Mechanical installation and equipment & public relations.
SKILLS:
Communication and interpersonal relations, report writing, computer literate, teambuilding.
