Purpose of the position:
The incumbent will be responsible for representing allocated members during Conciliation meetings
and/or Arbitration Hearings.
Minimum qualification and work experience:
LLB degree (or related degree in Law) with a thorough knowledge of Namibian Labor legislation and case law, and
Five (5) years' experience in Labor Consulting and at least three (3) years' experience in attending to Conciliations/Arbitrations.
Minimum requirements:
- Namibian citizen.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Able to work remotely.
- Code B driver's license with own reliable transport.
- Computer literate.
- Willing to travel extensively (will be reimbursed for travel and accommodation outside Windhoek).
- Willing to work on Sundays, Public Holidays and overtime.
Key performance areas:
- Assisting members with internal dispute resolution.
- Gathering dispute documentation.
- Preparation for Conciliation meetings or Arbitration Hearings.
- Arranging and consulting with members and relevant role players prior to Conciliation meetings or Arbitration Hearings.
- Representing members during the Dispute Resolution process.
- Advising members.
- Drafting and filling formal applications / agreements
- Weekly and monthly reporting.
